I was born in Winnipeg, studied film and photography at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, and have enjoyed 20 years in Vancouver as a director and photographer of television documentary and arts films which included traveling the world shooting Nobel scientists, Prime Ministers, NFL, NBA and Olympic athletes, renown architects, artists, actors and dancers. You have probably already seen my work on Television or at The Vancouver Film Festival.

So now you ask…why would I wish to film your wedding?

I enjoy capturing weddings, as they are such a rich subject matter loaded with ceremony, tradition, family, friends and most important … love! And to be put in trust of recording the most important day of your life for posterity is an honor and a fresh challenge that tests my experience every time.

In fact, my media career started as a wedding professional which prepared me well for documentary story telling where one needs to anticipate where to be before the action happens, and then capture those key moments without drawing attention to oneself.

A wedding film should never be an imposition on your wedding ceremony or guests. Fussing with equipment, bright lighting or coaxing a couple to act out corny gags or fake responses… let’s leave that for reality TV!

I have witnessed many wedding photography styles come and go, but the only images and films that will truly endure the test of time are of two people in love, naturally enjoying themselves in the presence of family and friends.
